In our post, “The Start of Something New,” we talked briefly about the long delay from September through January when building plans were created and approved. Finally, on January 20th, R.M. Construction, our fabulous construction team, moved in and started their work.
The first couple days seemed slow as the bulk of the work involved buying the lumber and construction supplies. We impatiently tapped our feet.
A few days later, Scott McKeen and his team started spray painting the ceiling.
The Louisiana-at-night ambiance of Midnight on the Bayou has been carefully crafted by our creative director and storyteller, Roy Davis. It simply wouldn’t work to have silver rafters with exposed insulation. Once R.M. was done with painting the ceiling, the whole room changed…
